Job Description
Summary
The Department of Pathology & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine, in partnership with Texas Children’s Hospital, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate. The Postdoctoral Associate will lead innovative research projects focused on studying the molecular convergence of neurodevelopmental disease that includes autism, intellectual disability, and epilepsy. Genes implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders encode transcriptional regulators, suggesting that many of these genes converge on shared downstream pathways. Identifying such convergent mechanisms could substantially accelerate therapeutic discovery. To uncover these pathways, the postdoctoral associate will leverage human iPSC-derived neurons combined with state-of-the-art approaches that includes single-cell RNA sequencing, chromatin profiling, and electrophysiological assays.
Baylor College of Medicine typically follows similar to the NIH stipulated stipend guidelines for Postdoctoral Associates.
