The Executive Director of Foresight and Design is responsible for providing oversight and leadership in establishing and managing a portfolio of innovations that distinguish COH and create value for members, patients, and other partners. This role is critical in delivering a customer-driven product and service innovation process, translating the longer-term strategic vision into products and solutions that help meaningfully address the core health and related needs of customers and patients. This role is a key contributor in the formulation, planning, and delivery of City of Hope’s innovation roadmap and long-term strategy and supports the transformation of COH’s delivery of care through identification of disruptive technologies and novel products. In addition, the Executive Director will be responsible for developing strategic foresight, identifying organizational development needs, launching an innovation hub, and driving innovation domain initiatives to direction to enterprise innovation capabilities. This role will also have leadership accountabilities over City of Hope’s future Innovation Studio, leading multidisciplinary design team.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Serve as a strategic foresight thought partner for Enterprise or external initiatives which drive novel clinical delivery through new human-centered design approaches and services across the enterprise.
- Develop project scope, goal, and key milestones; including project plan(s); assemble and coordinate key staff; develop timelines, deliverables, and budgets across critical design projects.
- Identify new value creation opportunities for City of Hope, leading product development and commercialization efforts and monitoring go-to market strategy.
- Assemble, monitor, and report key organizational metrics (financial, quality, volume, etc.) which allow the organization to measure growth against pre-established standards and goals.
- Drive the development of key strategies, strategic plans and decisions with clinical leadership, strategy leadership, and various stakeholders who seek to develop new delivery models through innovation.
- Partner and facilitate discussion and strategies for key enablers necessary for program growth and go to market strategy including marketing, access, communications, etc.
- Interface with a variety of external partners, vendors, consultants, and clients as City of Hope expands innovation portfolio.
- Lead/partner in the development of strategic and economic business cases for all new product offerings, including revenue, profit, and market share targets.
Your qualifications should include:
- MBA, MHA, MPH required.
- Minimum of 10 years related professional experience and 7 years of experience in a leadership capacity

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $85.90 - $143.46 / hour
