Job Description

Responsibilities:
Performs massage therapy to patients according to the principles and practices of massage therapy.
Works with each patient to develop a treatment plan and strategy based on their individual needs.
Collaborates with other care team members, acts as a resource for the clinical staff and providers to increase awareness and knowledge of acupuncture and integrative health
Promotes health and well-being, and clinic services with participation at campus outreach events and through various media materials.
Provides massage therapy services at other UMBC departmental events.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must maintain licensure with the Maryland Department of Health, Board of Massage Therapy
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Must be able to practice independently.
Must be able to document treatments in our electronic health record.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a higher education setting
History of work within a multidisciplinary and/or integrated healthcare setting
Demonstrated experience and interest in providing outreach, programs, and/or education
Background Screening Statement:
A background check will be required.

Salary:
Hourly rate: $34 - $44 hourly, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
