As a CT Technologist, you will perform CT exams on patients of all ages. Technologists work in various care settings throughout our bustling main campus.

- Schedules and prepares patients for exams including coordinating procedures with Radiology, nursing units and other departments.
- Oversees maintenance of equipment to ensure full calibration and complete functioning.
- Maintains adequate inventory of supplies.
- Observes patient constantly to respond to any adverse reactions to ensure safety.
- Keeps abreast of new development in field by attending appropriate meetings/seminars and reviewing current literature.
- Works continually to anticipate and exceed the needs and expectations of customers.
- Assesses patients clinical history and performs exams appropriately by selecting proper setting to correspond to patients size, shape and clinical history
- Selects proper settings that best demonstrate normal anatomy and pathology and transfer from computer to PACS and/or film.
- Uses workstations proficiently to produce quality 3 D reconstructions.
- Identifies patient and properly evaluates requisition for exam to be performed.
- Identifies contrast and dosage and loads pressure injector using proper settings.
- Injects contrast material by intravenous puncture or established intravenous, under the direction of the radiologist.
- Ensures the safety of patients, visitors, co-workers and self, by using appropriate radiation and bloodborne pathogen precautions.
- Complies with all Radiology information systems (including PACS) entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply and tracking monitors.
- Assists and supports the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect. Provides supervision and feedback to students as they perform procedures. Reviews images with students on request and provides quarterly evaluations of students to clinical instructions for formal reviews.
- Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure.
- Follows hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.

Education:
- High school graduate or the equivalent.
Certifications:
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in computer tomography within one year of appointment. Current license in the State of Ohio.
Complexity of Work:
- Maintains competencies specific to patient population served.
- Ability to work other shifts including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
Work Experience:
- Two years experience in diagnostic Radiology in order to be eligible for onsite training in CT Scanning preferred.
