We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Fellow to work within the laboratories of Dr. Flavia Pichiorri, Professor in the Department of Hematological Malignancies Translational Science, and Briskin Myeloma Center.

The key research area for this group focuses on:

1) Identification of novel anti-myeloma therapeutic interventions including bispecific antibodies and oncolytic viruses

2) Understanding the role myeloma high risk feature for driving mechanisms of resistance

3) Immune correlative studies in patients enrolled in Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials.

The group conducts the most forefront science and is highly productive with publications in high-impact journals in the past five years, Blood (2024, 2021), Leukemia (2019), Blood advances (2022), J Hematol Oncol. (2024). Dr. Pichiorri 's research program is supported by several NIH (R01s). City of Hope is in the pleasant city of Los Angeles of Southern California.

As a successful candidate, you will:

· Devise, plan, document and advance basic science and translational projects in the relevant research areas

· Collect data for grant applications and prepare manuscripts for publication

· Work in close collaboration with other team members and external partners from academia and industry, including presentation of progress internally or externally

· Train and supervise technical staff

Your qualifications should include:

· A Ph.D. or M.D. with a strong background and profound knowledge in the field of immunology, cancer biology and oncolytic viruses.

· Multiple first author publication in high-impact journals

· Previous experience in working with animal models

· Literature knowledge of one of the three research areas mentioned above

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $34.00 - $37.55 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
