Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY:
As a Scientist, you will be at the center of our operations and you’ll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will be part of Pfizer's Worldwide Research and Development team that employs a multidisciplinary approach to identify cancer targets and develop next generation Oncology therapeutics and therapeutic combinations. You will contribute to cell engineering and antibody discovery for the development of novel biotherapeutics. You will be responsible for extensive molecular biology, tissue culture and cell biology benchwork, including vector engineering, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), cloning, cell engineering, flow cytometry, and assay development. You will also contribute to molecular analyses of cancer targets, antibody sequencing and identification of sequence liabilities.
With your deep knowledge in the discipline, you will be an active team member who influences at the project team level. You will be using your scientific judgment to adapt standard methods and techniques by applying prior work experience and consulting others. Your ability to plan will help in preparing short-term work activities on projects. Your creativity in developing novel processes and new ideas will be used frequently. You will undertake mentoring activities to guide your team members.

ADDITIONAL POINTS:
Contribute to achievement of goals and influence at the project team level
Provide cell engineering and molecular biology support for multiple Oncology Research projects
Evaluate data and provide clear reports that can be shared and transferred to and from cross-functional teams
Pay attention to detail, strictly adhere to safety protocols, and use knowledge of basic laboratory procedures to advance projects under rapidly shifting priorities and timelines
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree + 6 years laboratory research experience or Master’s degree + 4 years laboratory research experience in molecular and cellular biology or related subject
Proficiency in culturing multiple cell lines under BSL2/BSL2+ conditions
Experience with different cell engineering technologies, including transient transfection, lentiviral transduction, and CRISPR
Experience with high-throughput multi-color flow cytometry and single-cell sorting
Strong molecular biology skills, including primer design, PCR, plasmid generation, agarose gel electrophoresis, Sanger sequencing, and NGS library preparation
Familiarity with sequence analysis tools, including online bioinformatics databases
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to project needs
Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet timelines and deliverables
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to accurately document experiment data and present results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in quantitative flow cytometry
Experience coding in Python, R, or other programming language
Understanding of antibody biology and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs)
Familiarity with Oxford Nanopore sequencing and data analysis
