Job Description
Summary
Contribute to the strategic planning process to drive new and grow existing revenue streams through FDA funded mulit-institutional consortium projects.
Job Duties
- Plan, conduct, and managecardiac research projects within federal and institutional regulations and policies directed by the principal investigator (Dr. Chester Koh).
- Evaluateand analyzedata.
- Developresearch techniques and performs applications required for specific research projects.
- Participatein writing and reviewing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
- Assistwith writing applications for grants for funding of research projects.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team from different institutions to help advance a real-world evidence project focused on congenital heart disease.
- Participate in quarterly meetings with CobiCure and other CobiCure fellows to discuss project progress and related challenges.
- Participate in educational webinars and other events scheduled periodically by CobiCure.
- Visit CobiCure to present the project at the end of the program and present project results.

- Manage a diverse portfolio of 120+ pediatric medical device companies.
- Analyze and compile key metrics such as stage of development, funding earned, FDA device classification, and subspecialties to identify annual pediatric industry trends.
- Screen pediatric devices in various competitions and present to a board of judges.
- Mentor a group of undergraduate students from patterning instructions throughout the academic year on a pediatric urology device related capstone project.
- Attend weekly meetings with the rest of the SWPDC team to discuss updates and next steps.
- Manage the SWPDC website and create SWPDC annual summary documents as needed.
- Support the rest of the SWPDC team with other specific assignments as assigned.
- Strengthen existing relationships and forge new relationships to enhance visibility, impact, and financial resources.
- Contribute to the development of the strategic planning process as it relates to business development.
- Present to relevant partners and community groups to expand awareness.
- Research and write executive program summaries, business cases, proposals, and presentations.
- Design and implement comprehensive plans for developing key external alliances.
- Explore opportunities to increase revenue by analyzing market trends and making recommendations based on the trends.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field.Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
- Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.
