This Sr. Director, Product Advertising Lead (PAL) will serve as the Lead Advertising Partner for the Primary Care division, working alongside the Global and U.S. Consumer Product Marketers to overcome barriers to creative excellence, create truly breakthrough campaigns, and elevate business impact. The PAL will steward the new Creative Catalyst pathway (Pfizer’s creative development playbook), share and apply best practices across the Primary Care organization for in-line and launch products, and leverage new centralized problem-solving approaches. This PAL will report to the VP, Head of Product Advertising, who sits in the Chief Marketing Office in New York City.


SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Planning – Partner with the Marketing Leads, including actively engaging, motivating and collaborating with Pfizer colleagues and external agency partners to deliver world class, business-building, market-moving campaigns. This work leverages the disciplined positioning and segmentation research that serves as a source of compelling insights that can unlock opportunities for Pfizer’s products. One of the critical deliverables will be partnering with the team on creative briefs that capture the opportunity and give agency partners the roadmap they need to work their magic.


Compelling Advertising – In the end, the most critical aspect of this role is to partner and inspire bold, compelling, breakthrough advertising for Pfizer’s Primary Care portfolio that cuts through competitive clutter and drives consumer action. We need someone who will be relentless in their pursuit of advertising that drives lift in the market with measurable creative power.

Creative Best Practices – Help lead the Creative Council Pathway for Pfizer’s Primary Care-targeted products across a staged, disciplined process: Creative Brief, Early Campaign Concepts, Execution Ideas, and Campaign Production. Continue to champion the evolution of Pfizer’s world class Creative Development playbook, and work tirelessly to encourage all team members to embrace and activate the best practices outlined in that playbook.


Creative Collaboration – Foster deep relationships with U.S. and Global Product Marketing owners, Co-Lab partners (Pfizer’s Agency partner), Market Research Partners, and other SMEs from Pfizer’s CMO office. Every day, inspire a high-performance team culture, inclusive of Pfizer’s partnership model across all internal and external stakeholders. This collaborative approach will foster creativity, better ideas, and ultimately, compelling business results for the brands and products, in-market.


Research & Insights – Help maximize the impact of all advertising development efforts leveraging hard and soft consumer data, insights and analytics to support everything. Much of this work will come from partners inside Pfizer’s Market Research & Insights group, and from researchers inside the agency partner organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS

·        Bach degree required with 15+ years experience in product marketing/advertising.

·        Deep Primary Care Consumer Global and US Marketing/Advertising campaign experience across various lifecycles required.

·        Ideal candidate has track record of industry recognition in leading creative excellence and breakthrough campaigns to drive business.

·        Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

·        Inspirational leader that has driven new innovations and creative excellence with aptitude for leading and partnering with others to achieve best in class performance driven creative

·        Strong business acumen with ability to link creative strategy to commercial metrics and convey insights to peers

·        Experience bringing campaign ideas to fruition, including production and optimization phases

·        Ability to manage diverse multi-disciplinary teams spread over multiple functions and geographies

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
