ROLE SUMMARY

The Global Workplace Experience (GWE) Commercial Developed Market (DM) Lead is a key leadership role in the GWE Commercial Vertical. The role is responsible for deeply understanding the business needs of the DMs and translating them into a vibrant and optimized RE portfolio that will be a Destination for all Pfizer colleagues and business partners to come to Connect, Collaborate and Co-Create Breakthroughs that Change Patient’s lives.

The DM Lead will be responsible for the delivery of Real Estate and Workplace solutions, along with providing an Integrated Facilities Experience (IFE) to colleagues across Developed Markets primarily in the Western and Eastern European blocks.

In addition to managing some sites directly, the DM Lead will shepherd and provide direction to all the facilities under her/his umbrella with the objective to attract and retain talent, create a destination like environment where colleagues can do their best work and enable the commercial organization to bring Pfizer on a path to significant growth.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate business strategies into real estate / facilities projects, initiatives with corresponding capital and operational budgets.

  • Partner with business leaders, country managers and site leaders to program the facilities and workplace experiences for colleagues to Connect, Collaborate and Co-Create on site (supporting Log in For Your Day - LIFYD)

  • Collaborate with RE Asset Management & Project Management leads on capital projects including property sales, integrations from M&A’s, relocations, and renovations.

  • Partner with IFM providers to significantly elevate the hospitality service levels and leverage the presence of their front-line staff to augment service offerings and deliver a WOW factor in workplace experience.

  • Head the governance of the IFM partnership (MBR’s, QBR’s) to drive amazing workplace experiences, operational excellence, and innovation in hospitality service delivery.

  • Work with the Vendor Management Lead to leverage Pfizer scale (including PGS) to drive productivity improvements and cost savings from IFM providers.

  • Work with Vendor Management Lead to support in the monitoring and reporting of vendor performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Interface with the RE Asset Management (Americas, EMEA, APAC) and the Capital Planning & Strategy Leads to support capital planning activities and changes

  • Work with the Data Insights Lead to support the collection of real estate data and the reporting of facility metrics

  • Work with the Design & Change Management Lead to drive adherence to design standards and relay feedback from client groups

  • Ensure a robust and relevant Environmental Health & Safety and Sustainability Program and assist in embedding an EHS culture in the Business.

  • Partner with Risk Management to protect and ensure physical security of colleagues and business continuity within the region.

  • Manage local talent development and provide pathways to elevate GWE colleagues to leadership roles

  • Serve as the representative for sites under purview on governance calls

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Real Estate, Finance, Engineering or a related field

  • Financial acumen with ability to prepare business cases

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate real estate, with a strong emphasis on commercial RE

  • Deep experience in partnering and managing IFM providers

  • Experience in elevating employee workplace experience with a hospitality mindset

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high performance teams

  • Proficiency in data analytics and real estate software tools

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation skills, ability to handle ambiguity, and interfacing with Sr leaders

  • Comprehensive understanding of regional real estate laws, regulations, and compliance

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or advanced degree in Real Estate, Finance, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience in the real estate industry within a Fortune 500 company or similar large-scale organization

  • Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in corporate real estate

  • Familiarity with office space planning and design principles
