What You Will Achieve

Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) is an area of rapidly growing interest across industries, geographies, regulators, and investors. Pfizer’s Global EHS Reporting and Disclosures team plays an integral role in Pfizer’s internal and external ESG disclosures, communicating Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and environmental sustainability performance to stakeholders, including our colleagues, customers, investors and, in the near future, regulatory agencies.

In this role you will support the collection, processing, analysis and verification of environmental sustainability data. The position engages with Pfizer sites and partner lines (e.g., Global Fleet, Global Workplace Experience, Sourcing, Supply Chain) to obtain data, ensures completeness and accuracy in data reporting, supports third party verification as well as internal review and approval processes, maintains reporting systems, and generates performance reports.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Supports the collection of EHS data from global Manufacturing, Research & Development, and Commercial operations
  • Reviews data to identify discrepancies and unexpected results, mitigating areas of concern and managing resolution
  • Conducts periodic internal audits of data and documentation to drive continual improvement of data completeness, data quality, and reporting processes
  • Provides operational support to the PGS IMEx Visual Management process by assisting sites with data corrections, reporting and queries
  • Maintains Pfizer’s energy and environmental data reporting system (e.g., managing updates to organizational and business unit axes, emission factors, etc.)
  • Supports third party verification of EHS data, coordinating reviews, collating relevant documentation, and working with data providers to develop responses to review queries
  • Engages with Corporate Audit to facilitate internal data reviews, ensuring accuracy of data reporting for external disclosures
  • Communicates Pfizer’s EHS performance internally through periodic divisional performance reports and metrics
  • Develops and secures approvals of EHS KPI tables for the annual ESG Report and external website
  • Supports Pfizer’s ESH and ESG strategy and compliance with regulatory disclosure frameworks

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a High SchoolDiploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Associatesdegreewith 6 years of experience.
  • Bachelors with at least 3 years of experience.
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience gained in pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical, chemical, or related product manufacturing (including internships).
  • Experience in managing complex data and analytical problem-solving with an ability to interpret information from various sources
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced culture, manage and work well cross-functionally at all levels in the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience calculating and reporting environmental performance data with demonstrated knowledge in key topic areas, including setting inventory boundaries; verifying accuracy and completeness of air, water and waste data; and accounting for supply chain emissions using multiple approaches (EEIO, LCA, supplier-specific data)
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills and the ability to work across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Experience working across disciplines and senior management in a large, complex organization.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to a dynamic, fast moving and changing work environment.
  • Experience working in dynamic complex, matrixed business models.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Due to the nature of work assignments, the role holder must be able to perform detailed work with limited oversight on multiple, concurrent tasks, with frequent interruptions and under time constraints, while maintaining focus on longer term priorities.
  • Daily interactions with colleagues through face to face or virtual meetings enabled using technology such as Teams requiring ability to effectively exchange ideas and information with colleagues using these systems.
  • Ability to understand, evaluate, interpret and explain multiple complex inputs and provide clear direction.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work outside standard working hours (early mornings / evenings) to contribute to a global team; and maintain communications / networks across a geographically diverse network


Work Location Assignment:Flexible

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
