Responsibilities
The Imaging Core Facility is looking for a full-time person (40 hours/week). This person is needed for preparation of biological samples for microscopic analysis using paraffin, cryo and/ or resin fixation, embedding and sectioning techniques. Will perform special staining and protocol design as well as routine maintenance on histology equipment. Further training on various microscopes and other instruments will be included based on workload and interest.


Qualifications
An Associate's degree with an emphasis in a scientific discipline. Applicant should be familiar with basic lab techniques, including solution/reagent prep and basic lab safety. Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills and an ability to work independently are a must.
