ROLE SUMMARY

EM Category Medical Operations Senior Manager, is a member of the EM Medical Operations Team. The EM Category Medical Operations Senior Manager partners in the development and implementation of regional initiatives that have an impact on EM Medical colleagues. The EM Category Medical Operations Senior Manager combines regional organizational, financial, and project management excellence with the goal of seamless execution of the global and regional plans. The EM Category Medical Operations Senior Manager will enhance cross-functional medical excellence collaboration with the EM Medical Category Leads, and support and accelerate medical innovation and implementation across teams. The Senior Manager reports to the EM Medical Operations Lead and collaborates with the EM Medical Category Leads and their teams. He/she is a part of a working environment where colleagues always understand and exhibit customer-focused medical professionalism with honor and integrity. EM Category Medical Operations Senior Manager will create a harmonized environment for medical operations, medical system and budget follow-up between EM medical categories and EM region and always search for excellence projects in medical operations team. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with EM Medical Category Leads and the EM Medical Operations team in the development, maintenance, excellence, alignment and monitoring of Global Medical meetings, communities of practice, projects, and program plans.
  • Attend assigned Category Team meetings, contribute as a team member with responsibility as the secretariat.
  • Lead the creation of both category specific and cross category medical processes, working with key stakeholders, to support the development and execution of Medical strategies.
  • Includes identifying, raising/sharing, and implementing best practices; ensuring consistency in overarching processes and systems, where needed; and developing partnerships with key colleagues in other functional areas to ensure ongoing alignment and efficiency.
  • To actively promote a culture of continuous improvement that engenders a culture of excellence in Medical activities.
  • To critically evaluate and continuously improve the communication networks between the Category Medical Leads and EM Medical colleagues ensure efficient and timely transmission of essential information.
  • Partners with the EM Medical Operations and global teams to plan and develop efficient processes to support critical routine business activities. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: bachelor’s degree in science is a minimal requirement; advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD) strongly preferred
  • A minimum of five years in the pharmaceutical industry depending on the positions held and evidence of leadership and organization effectiveness.
  • Experience in working in a Medical organization and understanding of EM Region and country organizations.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience managing large and complex budgets.
  • Must be independent, pro-active, self-motivated with strong organizational skills and possess the ability to manage priorities, handle multiple tasks with frequent tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating and negotiating in a matrix-based organization at all levels.
  • Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations.
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results.
  • Flexibility to travel

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
