Job Description

Part-time, contract faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Work assignments and locations vary. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, and other courses as appropriate; and/or teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner Track of the MS in Nursing program.

This is an in-person, on-site, on-campus, Muncie-based faculty position that require a Master’s degree in nursing and an active Indiana Registered Nurses license.

Job Function:

Part-time, contract faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Work assignments and locations vary. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, and other courses as appropriate; and/or teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner Track of the MS in Nursing program.

Minimum Experience:

Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment; national certification as an NP or an earned doctorate in nursing from an accredited college or university (if teaching in master’s program).

Preferred Experience:

Teaching experience in higher education; clinical nursing experience in related area of teaching; ability to communicate effectively; ability to use and integrate technology in nursing education; current clinical practice as an NP.
