NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs: If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs. If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date. What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a motivated team player to join our Academic Programs team to support Sandia’s Securing Top Academic Research and Talent (START) program with our partner Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)! Primary responsibilities in this role include making logistic arrangements for Sandia and HBCU campus events, coordinating meetings related to campus partnership activities, pursuing key recruiting leads, providing support for managing information, and helping implement strategic plans to amplify the team’s contributions. You will collaborate with the START Campus Partnership Manager, business development specialists, Sandia Recruiting and Student Programs, and other partners across the Lab. You will also work with key personnel at our partnership universities. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Provide project planning, management, and tracking of deliverables for the team + Cultivate internal/external partner relationships and engage with potential collaborators + Capture, collect, record, track, and verify data and information from multiple sources + Compile and generate reports, metrics, timelines, tables, and graphs; to review status of projects and budgets; and to create presentations + Work independently and prioritize own tasks to ensure that deadlines are met + Coordinate calendars, order meeting materials and refreshments, schedule facilities, correspond with attendees, initiate invoices for payment, prepare agendas and presentations, and serves as liaison to contacts An expectation for this role is that the selected candidate will spend an initial period of six months to one year working on-site at least three days/week (remainder remote) to gain knowledge of the organization’s operations and resources at Sandia. Qualifications We Require: + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field + Proficient expertise/experience with Microsoft Office software suite, including Outlook + Experience with general administrative services and activities + Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L clearance Qualifications We Desire: + Experience with Sandia enterprise software applications, including PeopleSoft, Oracle, EBI, and others + Knowledge of Information Release policies and procedures + Experience with event coordination (workshops, etc.) + Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadline, frequent interruptions, and competing priorities + Demonstrated ability to focus attention on details + Consistent record of success in a cross-disciplinary team + Experience communicating and coordinating with a geographically dispersed team + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and management + Experience working with HBCUs + Passion for engaging in diversity outreach and development + University partnerships experience + Active DOE Q security clearance About Our Team: As a part of Sandia National Laboratories’ Chief Research Office, the Academic Programs organization includes our Sandia University Partnerships Network program, the Corporate Postdoc Program Office, and the Faculty Loan Program for Joint Appointments. Security Clearance:
