The College of Pharmacy is looking for a Research Assistant to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. Appropriate bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Bachelor's of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biochemistry
Experience working with diverse individuals and communities.
Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience working with diverse individuals and communities
Collects, compiles, and analyze research data.
Uses statistical methods and relational databases to analyze datasets
Prepares or assists in preparing reports of research funding
Assists with authoring or editing technical reports/manuscripts and summary findings
Assists in formulating research objectives, programs, and priorities
Manages the breeding and genotyping of animals colonies
Orders and prepares buffers and research reagents as needed and keeps a log
May train users on the preparation and data management of research equipment
Assists with planning, developing, coordinating, and administering research projects
Manages and overseas research equipment
Complies with all state and university policies
Demonstrates intermediate to expert skills with Microsoft office software, and is able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Supervisory responsibilities: may carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s objectives, policies and applicable laws.
Performs other duties as assigned.
