Job DescriptionThe School of the Coastal Environment at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the following positions in the Marine Science department for the 2019-2020 academic terms, with the potential of renewal for an additional 1 or 2 academic years. These positions include:
-Visiting Assistant Professor in Marine Geology & Environmental Science
-Visiting Assistant Professor in Marine Physics
-Visiting Assistant Professor in Aquaculture & Marine Statistics
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in marine science or related field (ABD considered) and previous teaching experience is preferred.
Coastal Carolina University is rapidly expanding and building upon a historic emphasis on the marine sciences. The University is located 10 miles from the Atlantic shoreline and within the lower coastal plain of northeastern South Carolina. The coastline in this region contains extensive areas of beach shoreline, landward marshes and wetland systems. Marine Science is one of the largest undergraduate departments within CCU and is committed to collaborative, interdisciplinary research and education.
